(09:00) DAVENPORT – Santa Cruz county officials have begun the process of looking for the consultant who will put together the Coastal Restoration and Re-Use Plan for the old Cemex Corporation plant in Davenport. The Sempervirens Fund, a land trust that works to preserve redwood forests in the Santa Cruz Mountains, is partnering with the county n this project, and is providing money for the Re-Use Plan. The hope by numerous local groups, including the Sempervirens Fund, is that priority will be given to the 106 acre property becoming a public entrance to both the Coast Dairies and San Vicente Redwoods properties. Consultant’s bids are due in by May 20th.
