All CA National Forests Closed 09-10-20 15:31 DC

All national forests in California have been closed due to fire danger, announced the United States Department of Agriculture on Wednesday.

On Monday, the USFS closed eight national forests in southern California, but Wednesday’s announcement means that all 18 national forests will close.

The USFS will re-evaluate the status of the forests on a daily basis.

The following national forests are closed until further notice:

  • Eldorado National Forest
  • Klamath National Forest
  • Lassen National Forest
  • Mendocino National Forest
  • Modoc National Forest
  • Six Rivers National Forest
  • Plumas National Forest
  • Shasta-Trinity National Forest
  • Tahoe National Forest
  • Lake Tahoe Basin Management Unit
  • Stanislaus National Forest
  • Sierra National Forest
  • Sequoia National Forest
  • Inyo National Forest
  • Los Padres National Forest
  • Angeles National Forest
  • San Bernardino National Forest
  • Cleveland National Forest
