A Santa Cruz teen, who is accused of raping and murdering an 8 year-old Santa Cruz girl in 2015, was back in court today. 18 year-old Adrian Gonzales was scheduled to be arraigned today, however the judge granted a continuance. Gonzales is accused of strangling and stabbing Maddy Middleton before dumping her body in a recycling bin at the Tannery Arts Complex (where both Gonzales and Middleton lived). Gonzales is scheduled to return to Santa Cruz County Superior Court March 26th.
