A repaving project of a 14-mile section of Highway 1 north of Santa Cruz begins today (Wednesday). The project starts at Western Drive and continues to the San Mateo County line.Roadwork hours are Monday through Thursday from 6 am to 4 pm and Friday from 6 am to 3 pm, primarily consisting one-way traffic control with flaggers in each direction. No overnight or weekend work is scheduled. Motorists can expect a delay of 15 to 20 minutes. The project is expected to be complete by the end of November.
