For the first time in 60 years, the Artichoke Festival has been canceled due to coronavirus concerns.
The event was scheduled for Aug. 8-9 will not go on as planned. It has been held continuously since 1959.
The Artichoke Festival said it will refund all pre-purchased tickets by patrons for the 2020 event.
To continue helping local nonprofits, the festival has added Donate Now buttons to its website (www.artichokefestival.org) with 100 percent of all donations given to its charity partners.
The 2021 Artichoke Festival is scheduled for June 5th and 6th of next year.
