A Salinas gang member was convicted today on multiple charges for a September shooting that involved 2 victims. The court found that 32-year old alleged Sureno gang member Gerardo Pineda Gomez co-participated in a shooting which inflicted great bodily injury on one of the victims. Gomez faces a maximum sentence of life in prison on four of the charges which include attempted murder, assault with a firearm, shooting at an occupied vehicle, attempted solicitation of murder, witness intimidation and attempted solicitation of perjury.
