(18:00) SANTA CRUZ- This year’s Santa Cruz County Sheriff’s office 4th of July statistics show a continuation of fewer major incidences. According to officials, despite a couple dozen arrests and the seizure of several thousand dollars worth of fireworks the severity of calls has dropped steadily in the past decades. Also noted was that most calls came in before 10 p.m. as opposed to well after midnight in past decades. Most of the violations were reported at Live Oak beaches.
