(07:35) The Santa Cruz Police Department reported that 3 gun dealers have been broken into in the last month in Santa Cruz County. Yesterday morning Outdoor World, located on River Street, was targeted. Although only clothing was taken from the store, authorities are investigating a trend of gun shops being burglarized. On September 28, the Big 5 in Capitola was burglarized. The thief walked away with a shotgun and BB gun. Days later, Markley’s gun shop was broken into, in Watsonville, and several handguns were stolen. Law enforcement departments in all 3 cities are working together to see if the burglaries are connected.
