The Sand Fire, that started in Amador County around 4:30 p-m Friday, is considered to be 65 percent contained. So far it has destroyed 13 homes and 38 outbuildings, and 515 structures are still threatened. Some evacuations are still in place, although others have been lifted. This wildfire is believed to have been caused by a vehicle driving on dry vegetation. Nearly 2 thousand firefighters are working to contain this fire, and they expect to have full containment by Friday.
