2-children suffered non-life threatening injuries tuesday afternoon, after being dragged beneath a car in salinas. a 3-year-old boy and 6-year-old girl were riding a bicycle with their father; The boy was riding in a buggy attached to his father’s tandem bicycle, the little girl was riding on the back seat. The father, 34-year-old agustin pirgen drove the bike across north main street (near alvin street), and the-3 were struck by the vehicle. The driver of the vehicle was determined to have the right-of-way; no charges are expected to be filed. The 2-children were air- lifted out of the county to be treated for their injuries. north main street was closed for about an hour following the 12:20 p.m. accident.
