(10:18)GILROY-Highway 101 was closed in both directions near Gilroy on Saturday. The CHP is reporting the closure happened in the early afternoon near Mastden Avenueand was due to downed powerlines. Workcrews removed freeway fencing to divert traffic while utility crews worked to repair the fallen lines. The freeway was reopened at about 2 p.m.
