A Watsonville-based organization, Agri-Culture, has earned national recognition for a program that informs people about local farming and ranching. An “Activity of Excellence” award has been granted to the grassroots program “Focus Agriculture”, which brings together rural and urban communities by educating officials and community leaders about agriculture in Santa Cruz County and the Pajaro Valley. The program is among 15 other programs throughout the nation to be showcased during the American Farm Bureau Federation Annual Meeting next January in Atlanta.
