The Watsonville city council has voted to ban the use of the well-known weed-killer Round-Up on city land (by city employees). That’s after council members saw lawsuit after lawsuit that targeted that product. The city ban, which stops short of banning the use of Round-Up by residents, is set to go into effect on July 1st. City officials plan to launch a warning about the apparent dangers of using Round-Up, and any other weed killer that contains Glyphosate.
