(17:48) WATSONVILLE- Over the weekend work crews performed temporary repairs on a 30 foot sink hole next to Highway 1 near Watsonville. A Caltrans engineer says the sinkhole is due to a failing culvert just north off the Airport Boulevard on ramp, and that a permanent repair project will begin today (Monday). The project should be completed on Wednesday at a cost of 2 million dollars. Motorists are advised to avoid the area or be prepared for delays.
