A vegetation fire interrupted traffic on Highway 1 near Watsonville on Monday. The fire was reported shortly before 2:30 p-m, between The Green Valley Road and Riverside Drive exits next to the southbound lanes. The CHP closed one of the lanes while fire crews contained the blaze to about an acre.
