Watsonville police are looking for an armed man who attempted to rob Del Taco on Saturday. At about 7:45 a.m. a masked man in a black hoodie, and masked face, carrying a handgun, entered the business on the 1400 block of Main Street, through a compromised door. Employees were able to escape to safety and call 911 as the robber tried unsuccessfully to access the safe. The suspect then grabbed two cell phones from a countertop before fleeing on foot towards Main Street. Anyone with any information is encouraged to contact Watsonville police.
