Although people can actually register to vote all the way up to, and through, Election Day, today is the final day to register to vote….and actually make it onto the official voter rolls. People can register to vote on-line until 11:59 p.m. tonight, or at any Election Department until the close of business today. Between tomorrow and Election Day (March 3rd), people will be able to register to vote on a “provisional” or “conditional” basis.
More information on that can be found on-line by searching for “Conditional Voter Registration”. These Provisional ballots will be counted once County Elections Official have verified the voter’s registration.
To register on-line people will need 3 things (aside from access to the internet):
- Their California Drivers LIcense or California Identification Card numbers.
- The last 4 digits of their Social Security number.
- Their date of birth.
