Anyone who witnessed yesterday’s fatal vehicle-pedestrian accident in Monterey is encouraged to contact the Monterey Police Department. Just before 9 a.m., a woman was hit by a truck near Monterey City Hall, as the truck turned right from Madison Street to Pacific Street. Although first responders got to her quickly, she succumbed to her injuries at the scene. The driver of the truck stayed at the scene, and was cooperative.
