(Updated at 06:19) – Seaside police are investigating a homicide that occurred Thursday afternoon. Officers were dispatched to the 1600 block of Kenneth Street around noon after receiving reports of an injured woman. At the scene, police found 42-year-old Ngoc Hong Nguyen who appeared to have been attacked. She was pronounced dead shortly after. A man is in custody in connection with the homicide. His identity is being withheld pending formal charges. (S.G.)
