The UCSC lab is helping find a COVID-19 cure by running 200-400 weekly tests on samples collected by local health-care nonprofits Salud Para la Gente and Santa Cruz Community Health Centers. In total, after the May 1 opening, the lab performs about 500-600 tests each week.
