The Tesla factory in Fremont has re-opened….about a week ahead of when Detroit automakers plan to re-open. At issue though is that alameda county (in which the city of Fremont is located) did not approve the Tesla re-opening. In fact, manufacturing is not expected to re-open in alameda county until the beginning of next month….if everything goes as expected. Tesla’s owner, Elon Musk, says he’ll move the manufacturing plant to Nevada Or Texas if this issue can’t be resolved quickly. Tesla workers are being required to wear gloves and masks and Social Distancing….and their temperatures are taken before they board a company bus to get to work.
