An 18 year-old man, who was 17 years-old when he was allegedly involved in the drug overdose death of another teen last year, won’t be charged as an adult. James Davis has been charged with the involuntary manslaughter of 16 year-old Perla Perez, after he sold her 2 counterfeit pills that were laced with Fentanyl. Davis is expected to be in a Monterey county court room this morning for a detention hearing.
