Target Corporation has been ordered to pay $3.9 million to fix overcharges in stores in several counties (including Santa Cruz). Target is required to pay the penalty to settle a civil lawsuit, and an injunction violation from 2008. The judgment against Target, that was handed down in Marin County Superior Court, also includes a permanent injunction that prohibits Target from engaging in false or misleading advertising, and charging more than the lowest price available.
