A 22-year-old Sureño gang member has received the maximum sentence for several crimes. Jaime “Chato” Murillo was sentenced to 50 years to life in prison for the cold-blooded killing of a 21-year-old man who was walking with his girlfriend near Alisal High School in March of 2013. He will serve an additional seven years for being a gang member in possession of a firearm a month before the killing.
