The face of Main Street in Watsonville is changing.
The old Sumitomo bank on Main Street was demolished Friday to make way for one-bedroom and studio apartments.
The 72-unit apartment complex is being developed by William Hansen.. Who has worked on several other projects in downtown Watsonville.
Construction is set to begin next spring with an expected completion date of 20-21.
