The chief of the Central Coast Fire District was reportedly dismissed yesterday. The board of directors did not give a reason for Jeff Maxwell’s dismissal, however he is expected to remain as chief through October 21st. The fire district serves Capitola, Live Oak and Soquel. 4 of the seats on the district’s board are on the November ballot.
