The F-A-A has reported that they have made progress with returning flights to the old flight path over Santa Cruz county. The move could happen within the next 2 years, and would include another change that locals might like….to have planes basically glide in to San Francisco Airport (and not use their air brakes over Santa Cruz county). Since the change to the current flight path, airline pilots descending into SFO have had to alternately brake and accelerate over Capitola, Soquel, and Scotts Valley.
