(11:20) Soledad – A Soledad farm labor contractor has been fined over $168,000 in penalties for housing employees in unsanitary and dangerous conditions. The U.S. Department of Labor reported that Future Ag Management Inc. provided illegal and substandard housing to 22 employees during the lettuce and cauliflower harvests in Monterey County last summer. Upon discovery of their living conditions, the workers were placed in hotels until adequate housing was found for the remainder of the harvest season.
