With the anticipation of San Lorenzo Valley residents waiting to return home, getting essential infrastructure back online is part of the process.
Rick Rogers, SLV Water District General manager, shares an update on the restoration of water services in the Valley…
“The [SLV Water] district’s water system still remains operational. Our district staff has been out and working tirelessly trying to get the system back up. We are recovering and getting more water out into the distribution system now as each day goes on. PG&E has been restored to most of the district’s facilities. We still have a handful of areas in the high reaches of Boulder Creek that has fire damage”, Rogers said.
Rogers also went on to express concern for the watershed, noting that 100-perent of the Empire Grade and Ben Lomond Watershed has been affected by fire damage, “High reaches” being the ridge top, and that 3 emergency contractors have been deployed to assist in restoring this utility.
