(06:15) Santa Cruz – A vehicle crashed into a CHP officer yesterday afternoon in Santa Cruz. The incident took place on Highway 1 onramp at River Street around 3:30 p.m. Authorities reported that 43-year-old Alfonso Saucedo crashed into a Jeep Cherokee and then struck the CHP officer. The officer was transported to a near by hospital and was released a short time later. No arrests have been made at this time.
