(17:28) YOSEMITE – Yosemite National Park is about to get bigger. In the largest expansion in nearly 70 years, the park is getting 400 more acres of wetlands, and a grassy meadow. The expansion is in the Ackerson Meadow, which is on the park’s western boundary. Officials plan to preserve the new acreage, as habitat for Great Grey Owls (and other wildlife). The Great Grey Owl is the largest owl in North America, and it’s listed as endangered. This addition completes the original plans for Yosemite.
