(09:00) Santa Cruz – The Santa Cruz Beach Boardwalk began the $12 million dollar renovation yesterday (Tuesday). Some of the improvements will include a new main entrance, wider walk ways, new ticket booths, and new attractions. Construction will also be done to the Lazer Maze and the Frieght Walk. Two rides will be closed during the renovation, “Double Shot” and the “The Pirate Ship”. Boardwalk officials say the project is expected to be completed by summer of 2017.
