(17:12) WATSONVILLE – A groundbreaking ceremony was held yesterday at the new Santa Cruz County Rountree Rehabilitation And Re-Entry Facility in Watsonville. The building was initially built back in the 1960’s, and has been shuttered for decades (because it wasn’t designed for long-term care. Once the remodel (and expansion) is completed, the facility is expected to house 50-60 inmates. The work is expected to be completed by the end of next year.
