(08:00) Monterey – Crop production has increased by almost 8 percent in Monterey County. The recent 2015 Crop Report shows that Monterey County brought in $4.84 billion dollars. The increase in revenue is partially credited to the diversity of what is being grown. Some of the top sellers are broccoli, head lettuce, strawberries, and leaf lettuce. The agriculture industry is a huge SUPPORT for our local economy and employees 1 out 4 people in Monterey County.
