(18:41) SALINAS- A Monterey County Judge denied a bail reduction request for Salinas councilman Jose Castaneda yesterday (Thurs). Castaneda is facing charges from an incident earlier in the year in which he allegedly kidnapped and assaulted a former girlfriend. Castaneda is expected to go to trial in February.
