(08:00) Monterey – The U.S. Forest Service reported this morning that the Soberanes Fire that is burning in Monterey County is 107,375 acres. The fire is currently growing in areas that are difficult for fire personnel to reach therefore that containment has decreased to 52 percent. An evacuation order remains in effect on Tassajara Road, from Chews Ridge to the Tassajara Zen Center…above the North Fork of the Big Sur River. The U.S. Forest Service wants to remind the public that all areas above the fire is a no fly zone which includes drones.
