Monterey Peninsula Unified School District is making progress on a sports field for Seaside High.
Included is an artificial turf field, 8-lanes of running track, lights powered by LEDs, and a new scoring board.
While the field may not be usable for fall sports in the near-term due to the ongoing pandemic, officials anticipate resuming sports by early next year and completing the sports complex by November.
Meanwhile, MPUSD plans to start the upcoming school year with distance learning.
