The victim of a fatal shooting has been identified as a 54 year-old Seaside resident. It’s still unclear what the motive was for the killing of Frederick James Pirtle. The Saturday night shooting took place on the 13-hundred block of Sonoma Avenue. Anyone with any information about the just before 4 a.m shooting is encouraged to contact the Seaside Police Department.
