Two known gang members were arrested in Seaside last Friday. Seaside police, Monterey police, and the Peninsula Regional Violence and Narcotics Team served a search warrant to a known gang hideout on the 1100 block of Phoenix Avenue. 18-year-old Gerardo Salmeron was arrested for possession of a loaded firearm and gang enhancements, while 19-year-old Jason Magallanes was arrested for probation violation and drug sales. Both suspects were arrested and booked into Monterey County Jail.
