Santa Cruz Police arrested a juvenile gang member with a homemade weapon on Halloween. Near the corner of Church Street and Pacific Avenue officers spotted a known Watsonville gang affiliate currently on probation. The 12-year-old male was detained and a probation compliance search uncovered a hammer modified as a weapon. The suspect was booked into juvenile hall.
