An Interim Appointment has been made to fill the seat left empty when Santa Cruz County Superior Court Judge Jeff Almquist died while vacationing in France earlier this month. 6th District Court Of Appeal Senior Attorney Syda Cogliati will serve on the Santa Cruz County Superior Court bench. Cogliati is scheduled to be sworn in during a private ceremony November 13th — her first day on the new job.
