A Santa Cruz school, the Georgiana Bruce Kirby Preparatory School, is investigating a former English teacher after an inquiry at another school found him to be credibly accused of sexual misconduct involving students.
Jeff House is the former Kirby teacher alleged to have groomed two students at Presentation High School, a private all-girls school in San Jose. He is alleged to have sexually assaulted one of those students at his house when she was a freshman in college.
House taught English and journalism at the San Jose school from 1999 to 2004 before joining Kirby’s staff, where he taught from 2004 to 2015.
The investigation continues.
