An operating agreement, which will allow a community pool in Santa Cruz County to re-open over the summer for public use, was approved last night. The Harvey West Community Pool was closed in December of 2008 due to the county’s budget deficit. An organization, consisting of a regional swimming instructor and 2 2010 Santa Cruz County council candidates, are planning on operating the facility from June 15th to September 15th by collecting community donations online at www.harveywestpool.com.
