The City of Santa Cruz has allowed the reopening of play grounds in city parks. As of Friday playgrounds have officially reopened. Those visiting the parks are still required to practice social distancing. Park goers must wear face coverings and stay home if they are sick or show COVID-19 symptoms. Visitors are encouraged to wash their hands or use hand sanitizer regularly because the playground equipment is not sanitized.
