This Saturday and Sunday are “Garage Sale Weekend” in Santa Cruz. Organizers say the annual city-sponsored event promotes reuse, repair, and resale opportunities in order to reduce waste while giving buyers a chance to pick-up deals.
Among items available are camping and stereo gear, costumes, tools, wheelchairs, electronics, and other goods all listed on the city’s online “Garage Sale Treasure Map.” Using the map, shoppers can find items of interest, map a shopping route and there is still time to sign up to host a sale.
