Santa Cruz County’s District 3 race showed incumbent Ryan Coonerty garnering 78 percent of the vote, besting challenger Steve Pleich. The results put Coonerty as the outright winner for district because he received a majority of the vote. The district includes the northern part of Santa Cruz County as well as the city of Santa Cruz.
