A transient committed suicide in downtown Santa Cruz yesterday morning (WED). Officials say the 77-year-old man shot himself in the entryway of the building at 903 Pacific Avenue shortly after 11:30. No foul play is suspected. The incident is currently under investigation. The man is survived by his 54-year-old daughter.
