Work is scheduled to begin tomorrow morning on a now barricaded sinkhole in Santa Cruz. Work is slated to be done between 8 a.m. and 5 p.m. weekdays….at the intersection of Soquel Avenue and Ocean Street. The work is expected to continue until the repair is completed….which could be a week or 2.
For traffic heading West on Soquel Avenue, the right-hand turn lane and the adjacent through lane will be closed. The other west-bound Soquel through lane and west-bound left-hand turn lane will remain open. East-bound traffic on Soquel Avenue will not be affected.
The public is advised to seek alternate routes when possible.
