A public meeting was held in Aptos last night to discuss the future of Santa Cruz County’s housing plan. Officials are beginning to revise the plan to focus on smaller, affordable units. Possible options include encouraging accessory dwelling units and allowing higher density buildings. The Board of Supervisors is expected to review the final plan by the end of the year. Another public meeting on the subject will be held Monday, from 6:30-8 p.m. in the Watsonville Civic Plaza Community Room.
