A San Jose man is now facing a sentence of 50 years-to-life-in-prison after he was convicted of killing a Salinas man. The San Jose man shot and killed 38 year-old Santos Emilio Barriga after Barriga said he would hold a bag of the San Jose man’s clothes as colateral, until the San Jose man’s paid his unpaid rent. The San Jose man is now scheduled to be sentenced in July.
